In all honesty, I was quite disappointed with this new store; they didn't have much good quality make up unlike other branches. I did some looking around and dug through the products they had and noticed the complete lack of NARS immediately. I gave up looking for bargains on high end brands and just looked for stuff I wanted to try, I parted with around £21 but left with 5 items.
The first thing I picked up was an Illamasqua concealer in the shade CC105. I see a lot of Illamasqua in T.K. Maxx but I'd never seen something I'd liked from them. It's super pale, almost white and I'm thinking of using it under the brows with a flat definer brush for cleaning up the bottom edge and highlighting. The formula is super creamy and thick, plus the coverage is great.
This was my biggest bargain as this concealer retails for £16.50 but I managed to bag it for only £5.99 which is such a good deal.
I didn't actually pick up anything else from the make up stand. I picked up and put down so many things but I literally couldn't decide on what was worth buying. The isle behind was mostly make up tools like brushes, tweezers and sponges etc. They had a whole stand dedicated to different brands and styles of sponges but these super cute tiny ones caught my eye and I wanted them immediately. They are honestly adorable as well as practical and for a pack of 2 they were great value. I googled them and saw they were £5.95 on the retailers website but £2.99 in T.K. Maxx. I pulled them out slightly and poked them as a harder sponge doesn't really go down well with me but these guys are sooo squidgy (like super soft). I though they would be great for under my eyes!
They were £2.99 in T.K. Maxx but I was unable to find their original price.
Now these last two were by far the best buys of the day. I'm so excited to get to use them but I'm gutted that I literally cannot find any information of other products of the same line online anywhere. What I picked up was two brushes from Isabella Scott Sydney and they are gorgeous! The handles are clear plastic engraved with the brand name, the metal is a stunning rose gold colour and the bristles are a medium brown colour and they look so soft.
The fan brush was £5.99 and they eyeshadow brush was £2.99.
Anyway, thanks so much for taking the time to read all my waffling on. Hope you guys found some inspo or got something from this post. If you want any reviews on products then let me know and I'll have them straight up! Check back soon for new posts.
Thank youu,
L xx
